Simone Forti: To Play the Flute September 21-22-23, 2017 Sala Fontana, Museo del Novecento, Milan
Fondazione Furla presents “Simone Forti: To Play the Flute” at Museo del Novecento, located in the heart of Milan. Four historic performances by this Italian-born American artist - a key figure in postmodern dance - will bring to life the Museum’s renowned Fontana Hall with sound and movement over the course of three days.
This first event is part of "Furla Series #01: Time after Time, Space after Space”, a performance-centred programme in partnership with Museo del Novecento spanning from September 2017 to April 2018 and featuring five events by five artists of different generations and backgrounds.
The Furla Series is the new multi-annual project by Fondazione Furla - launched in 2017 under the artistic direction of Bruna Roccasalva and Vincenzo de Bellis. It features exhibitions, performances and events dedicated to Italian and leading international artists, organised in close collaboration with renowned Italian institutions.
The Fondazione Furla, founded by FURLA’s President Giovanna Furlanetto, is the outgrowth of a cultural process aimed at supporting and promoting contemporary art in Italy since 2000.
